I know I've been a terrible blogger and visiting others blogs and I'm sorry but just don't have enough time in the day to get everything done and do like I want. Figure it's about time I added something here to give you and update and idea what I'm up too besides the house, family and working part time.

Painting I did just for fun and as you can see I still need to work on shading on the faces.
Started a Frida Kahlo painting.....debating whether to do it on wood or leave on watercolor paper.
Excuse the quality of these pictures...I promise you much better in person. My second complete painting on wood and all beeswax. Ended up giving this painting to my sister in law for her bedroom. Now mother in law wants one for her guest bedroom...even offered to pay but said no I'll do it.

So was Santa good to you all??? Santa did treat me okay....he didn't get me anything I specifically ask for.....so next year I'm not even telling him anything. I've decided to make it easier on him and just buy my own gifts, wrap and place under the tree myself!!! The kids of course had a ball on christmas and it was nice and quiet. Happy it's over especially since I've started working part time at JCPenny right before xmas. It was just suppose to be seasonal but looks like they want to keep me and I can't complain. I work weekends sometimes 8-10 hours days but weeknights..not all the time...I do 4-5 hours here and there. Not bad and it's a decent place to work. You can imagine how it was working at JCPenny during the holiday rush and all. That's what I really been up too...just busy with work. My son had a fall at school and messed up his wrist...same wrist he fracture before so been dealing with that headache and if you may remember from a post before my screw up with child support etc and my son not being insured anymore...so that's another headache going on.

Well it's officially the new year!!! What do you want or resolutions have you made for the new year? Myself....I am not making any resolutions...don't need the extra pressure of that. What do I want for the new year......besides all the good things for myself and my family...just want to make more time for being creative...whether it's a scrapbook layout, or making an ATC or painting something....that's all I want. At least an hour a day, everyday..how hard could that be? I'm also gonna keep a life/art journal starting this year....just ordered my fancy moleskin journal for that and can't wait to get it. I need to take more pictures more often...I've really slack off in that department lately as well. Looking forward to designing for scrapbook takeout...I'm stalking the mailman for the first kit for that, my first baby girl will be turning four this month.

OCTOBER PICTURES

I LOVE fall!!! The colors change, the pumpkins and of course Halloween! My favorite holiday! I know it's been almost a month since my last real post-lot going on in my life at the moment and will not discuss here. So for the few who do have access to the all womens perogative I'll be posting my update there today or tomorrow. I have scrapbook some but not sure I can post that just yet- and of course still working on my ATC swaps. Any new Atc stuff has been posted in my art slide. The creative stuff is what keeps me sane. For now some photos. Look at my poor baby's hair! I think my girls are definetly sick of the camara by now. They just don't cooperate like I want them too.

I think I'll just start taking more photos like the one above. Easy shots.

This shot could of been a gorgeous shot but they just weren't having it. In the end the oldest decided to sit in front of the baby and hog the camara. So I gave up. I won't bore you with all the messed up shots.

My mom, sister in law, niece and nephew with the girls on Halloween. OMG Halloween the weather was gorgeous!!! I wish it could be like that EVERY Halloween. We had alittle party at the house and went trick or treating...it was fun!!!

Notice the baby in the back walking with daddy...she was holding up the program some so we ended up pulling her along in the wagon and just rolling her door to door...she had it made and loved it!

Pow Wow, Corn Fest and couple of creative stuff!!!

Last weekend on Saturday, the girls and I, along with Nana and Papa Jack attended a Pow Wow at Naper Settlement in Naperville, Illinois. I loved taking pictures at the Pow Wow, love their outfits and the colors. Growing up on the north side of Chicago I grew up with some Navajo girls and used to attend Pow Wow's with their family every year up at NAVY PIER in Chicago. That is the OLD Navy Pier, not how it looks now. For those who grew up in Chicago, you know what I mean.

Pow Wow were alot different from what I remember-this one I think is definetly for entertainment purposes for us non indians..LOL...I don't know how to explain it. Pow Wow's back then lasted for days and went on all day etc and they were all Indians and it was very ceremonial etc. This one had the dancing...sometimes, same beautiful costumes but then there seem to be alot of "guests" who attended in "costumes" and jump right in along with the indians. They would have alot of open dance parts...everyone welcome...I DO NOT RECALL THAT when I was younger. Anyway the girls LOVED it and had a good time!!! I don't think they thought about what a mistake it was to have OPEN DANCE sometimes with my girls around...you'll see why soon!!!

Okay now here's one of those "costume guests" can you say Pocohontas? She was sweet thou and dance with Selena out there...not that Selena needed her help or say so!!!

Here they both are. My girls towards the end INSISTED on being center of attention and had to dance right in the middle...while everyone else is going around in a circle dancing. These girls didn't care if it was OPEN DANCE or not!!! I don't know where they get their boldness from....I would never and I know there dad wouldn't...unless of course if we were drunk. FYI...you should see our wedding video and hubby doing the chicken dance....it's hilarious!!!!

So then on Sunday we decided to attend Corn Fest in Morris, Illinois. Girls got to see the parade, well the baby slept thru it but Selena loved it. Afterwards we attended their carnival. First time for the girls. Few pics to share below.

I manage to make it to Round 4 at the academy at Bad Girls. Here's is my layout for this week. Had to have balance, unity, harmony and texture....tune in next week see if I make it to Round 5. I love this layout by the way even if it doesnt make it. Hard to do a boy/man layout I think..finding embellishments etc.

Remember this girl...well she's finally finished...background and all. This is my first finished mixed media art piece and because of that I love it!!! I call it my pretty fall girl!!! Pictures are alittle crappy so excuse that. I'm now working on an angel girl and Pam sent me some goodies with her tag and sent this fabulous black fabric so now I'm also working on a witch girl....having fun!!! THANKS AGAIN Pam!!!

I still have to work on my faces...my girls have some huge eyes!!! and I think her face is too pale. Will work on that!!!

Sorry folks...NO civil war battlefield pics!!! I deleted them already from my computer and just too lazy to grab the disk and pick what I want etc. I know your all upsett(wink) but just google civil war battle pics and you'll get the idea!!!

Jen you ask about the girls liking it...Sure they loved it....loved it because there was a playground there and got to spend most of the day there with NANA....if it wasn't for that, I think they would of been miserable!!! There is another one this month, suppose to be bigger, you have to pay up at Dillinger Farm. Papa Jack has all the info...but try looking it up. Were all suppose to attend that one as well.

Well that's all for this week. I woke up this morning with a cold and it's now almost 2 p.m. and I'm still in my pj's as well as the girls. Only useful things accomplished so far was breakfast, dishes, lunch, blog. I don't plan on doing anything else except dinner and take care of the little ones. I so wish I could just crawl into my bed watch some tv and dose off but can't with these two....the thought did cross my mind to tie em up and gag em but that be cruel...I envy you all who could just take a nap when you want!!! LOL!!!

I think I'll try to work on my angel painting even if my nose is dripping!!!LOL!!! Later!!!

WHOA...so I made it on to Class 3 of the Bad Girls Top Designer class....this weeks assignment.....WHITE SPACE....AAAHH and not just do the layout but have to explain what design principles you used also....uh okay!!! I'm not doing that here...did that already on Bad Girls. So here's my layout!!! Again I love it but is it enough to go on to Class 4....I'll find out Sunday night. It's up to the scrapbooking gods now!!! Good Luck to those who are still in!!!

Challenges, Creative stuff and Civil War....in that order!!!

Yes, I did make it to Round 2 of the Bad Girls Academy challenge thingy they got going on over there....so here's my homework for week 2. Picking pattern papers to go with your pictures, the whole gallon, pint, quart size....however it goes....see I have more blue because Sophia's blue shows up the most, than the pink that Selena has on, than touch of red because of my shirt, we only had to have two different pattern papers...so I did it. I don't think this is Bad Girl Quality but I like the way this layout turned out even if it is simple. I'm not gonna stress about it....of course I don't want to get cut by the second week but dam I'm not expecting to make it to the sixth and final round either.

My layout for Challenge 3 on Scrapbook takeout challenge blog.....do a multi photo layout. I got 24 pictures here. Only so much you can do to a layout with that many pictures, I don't care if their index size pics or not. It was fun and I got these pics scrap so that's all that counts.

Had this layout sitting around for MONTHS.....not knowing how to finish it and finally I did...well almost...still have the journeling to do. Look how little my baby girl was then....time flies!!!

Okay so for THOSE who may be interested...Papa Jack(my dad) wanted to go visit a civil war reenactment that was taking place in Lockport, Illinois about two weeks ago. I wasn't all for it at first but it was free, something to do and I thought well maybe it'll be a fun photo opportunity. Well it was and it was interesting. I wanted to put these photos in a slide show instead of making you have to go thru the whole post for 8 pictures but for some reason I couldn't get the slide thing to work so here you go...my first set of my civil war pics. I left these in color for now but when I get a chance I want to play with some and turn into blk/white or vintage etc.

Next time battlefield shots!!!! Aren't you just freakin excited.....LOL!!! That's it for now. I know I've been MIA but just been busy with what free time I do have on making ATC's, and I'm still taking that online art class and really need to get a girl sketch, painted and dress etc and so far behind on that. Bad Girls Top Designer Homework Class 1 Layers

So I layer my paper, on my title, used some of the pattern paper, cut up and layered and just layer embellishments here and there. This time I used photos of my nephew Nathan he's not this little any more. I used mostly Prima Dude collection, some cosmo cricket chipboard, thickers, heidi swapp letters and the rest from my stash. That's it first weeks homework is done......now to wait and see if made the cut and can move on to next weeks assignment...YIKES!!! TFL!!!

Still taking my online art class over at suzi blu.....right now at the stage of woodburning and shading on wood....I now have to dress this girl. Have a few more girls I wanna do on wood first so we'll see. Practicing my head shots in my sketch book.

Finally using watercolor paper.....Suzi blu commented if I had just used a solid color background these faces really would pop...she then advice me I was ready for woodburning.

Here's my attempt at woodburning! I was really nervous about this but turned out okay I think.

I've been playing.....I signed up for an online class at Suzi Blu and I'm loving it and having fun. WHY?.....just because...just something for me and no one else. Learning different/cool techniques and just sketching for now but by the end of the class should have a full version of my own Les Petite doll(see pic below) all painted and alter and on wood and sealed and embellished in wax!!!

Not too bad...I think? I've never really drawn anything or painted....other than when I was a kid and in middle school sketching girls here and there. For some reason it stop and now that I've taken Suzi's class I find I've been inspired and I'm looking at all kinds of art and wanting to do art journals and seeing pieces of art I'd like to own...etc etc.....I just want to play with watercolors, acrylics and oil pastels, learn all about mix medias and just create create create....for no real reason.....just because!!!!

Excuse the pics of some of my layouts, not happy with how they turned out color wise and all. First layout is for Scrapbook Takeout's first challenge....WHITE SPACE!! I'm not a white space type scrapper...I have trouble leaving something alone...but this was fun and I like how it turned out. Don't know if you could tell in the picture but I even embellish the back of the maya sheer journal thingy....I layed strips of tape across using my atg gun and then I sprinkle three different types of Making Memories glitter all over it. More glue and then pressed down on my layout.
Here I tried one of Li's technique for a layout....she likes to just do the layout and then find and add pics later that go with it. Well at the time of this layout I had an idea what pics to use but didn't have them edit or printed out so I went ahead with the layout first than got my pics on it later. Used the Scrapbook takeout kit here(above layout uses most of the kit as well). I love the stamp that came in the kit....used it here for my background and did a paint resist technique on it.

Here it is all done and added my pics and a few more things. See my "black" frame hearts those are those old memory maker tags that are silver and you add your own paper and you have to use that tool to squeeze it all together. Yep I actually used it. I painted my hearts with a black sharpie!!!

Here's a peek for the stylin stamp swap I'm in over at Bag Girls....I'm in like five different themes and have to make five each.....I started with the birds/nature theme first. You have to embellish your stamp...not just ink it. Here I flock and outline black pen and used a glaze pen. I still have many more stamps to do and need to get to it.

Finally here is my layout for July's Bad Girl challenge for their cute apron. You had to "junk" up the layout....in other words......embellish embellish. Well here's my entry and NO I didn't win...again. LOL!!! But at least this layout I love, the other entrys I submitted before I never care for just was trying to win doing what they say and using as much as the kit as possible. This time I relax and did what I want! I added a few things not in the kit this time as well.

That's it for now. I wish I had tons of great stuff to show you but I don't. Just not enough free time in the day. :) So much to do and so much want to do. I still have projects for 52 pick up to complete, stamps to make for the swap, second scrapbook takeout challenge to and I'm looking into getting into some ATC swaps and have been looking up on art journals...FUN FUN FUN. I've been tag by Liz and I have to list 7 random or weird facts about myself...hmmmm

1. I bite/chew on my cheek and lip for as long as I remember.

2. I hate when ANYONE spits....gross!!! ( I know there are times you have to...understandable)

3. I hate unknown callers and toll free calls that come up on my caller ID(Do Not Call List sucks).....I will answer and bitch em out or hand the phone to my daughter since she loves to talk and so does the telemarketer(sp?).

4. Favorite color is BLACK.

5. I prefer to stay up all night and sleep in all day...I'm a night owl. Don't get to do that anymore with the little ones.

6. Love all kinds of music-including RAP!!!

7. I WORRY all the time-about everything anything...sometimes it will even keep me up at night.

Over the weekend we went and visit the Naper Settlement in Naperville, Illinois. Gives you an idea what it was like to live in Naperville back in the 1800's. They have actual historic homes of "famous" people of Naperville from back then that have been saved and relocated to this park with the exception of the Victorian mansion, it's always been there. It was interesting and fun. Here are just few pics to share.

Showing Selena some of the toys children had back then. Below my baby what she look like if she had to walk around wearing a "BIG" bonnet!

Here's the mansion.....I didn't take the tour because figured the girls wouldn't care too much for it or might tear something up in there. Next time for sure. Can you spot Selena on the porch?

One day we headed over to the river in Wilminton, Illinois. Let the girls go wading. I was surprised the baby didn't care for it but Selena LOVED it!!! Selena didn't even want to go in at first. She had a ball!!!!

Then she went clam hunting with Nana and was excited when they actually found one!

Meanwhile Sophia decided she'll just sit on the bank and chill with some Puffs!!!

Layouts and Scraproom pics

These layouts were done over two weeks ago, just never got around to posting them...was gonna wait til I had more layouts done-at the time I had all these ideas floating around and just never got to them. I was in the mood to play around and try some ideas I pick up here and there. First one I used masking tape and glue stick and then pink paint on it-gave it a nice wierd texture. I love this little deer paper...I thought it be cute for a baby layout and something different. Oh yeah and used some dimensional stuff for drops on the flowers.
This layout I wanted to use up some ribbon...so decided to cover some chipboard flowers with it. Then tried some doodling. Also just posted a layout over at Bad Girls for the July Apron Challenge.....go take a look.

Finally I think I got my scraproom the way I want now. I'm so happy to finally have these shelves for my flowers and ribbons. Before they were just stack on top of each other which made it a PITA! Have a top shelf all empty just have to figure out what to do with that later. The rest of the pics explain themselves. TFL!!

First I have to say Sorry for those who posted comments here and there and then never saw them get posted....UH my dumb ass thought that I would receive an email EVERYTIME when I had a comment that needed to be moderated....Today when I came on to post I notice a thingy saying I have 9 comments that had to moderated...WTF....so I check it out and okay them all. In the future I'll know better now and just have to come here and check it out.

Don't have layouts to share just yet....got two done and ideas in the works for three more and I definetly want to try Li's idea for a scrapbook layout! Yesterday while the girls played in the yard I also got to play...with my camara. Here's some pretties to share with you! ( hey have to share something on this blog!)

The Times newspaper of Frankfort, Indiana!! My father in law submitted the photo awhile back and today they got a big surprise going thru it and saw this little cutie!! How cool!!! My father in law scan it and sent to me. I'll be getting my real copies for sure. I have to give credit to Brooke S.(Middle of Nowhere blog) because although I took the picture at the time my photo shop was out and she boost the picture for me. Also my father in law for submitting it!!! This is the picture I used at the time for Sophia's invites. THANKS BROOKE!!! THANKS DAD!!!!

I hope everyone had a fun and safe 4th of July. We had a quiet weekend. Just stayed home and visit the inlaws over the weekend and that's pretty much it. Exciting I know! So I received my RAK for winning the one workshop Bad Girls had and I thought I share all my goodies below!!!!

Here's my 52 pick up card pick up book for the class on big picture scrapbooking I'm taking. Were now on technique 11 but I've only completed 5 so far.

Here's my layout for the birthday bash scraplift on bad girls going on this month. It's their one year birthday...check it out, suppose to have lots of challenges and I think some more workshops going on this month.

Here's a layout I did using last months scraproom kit.

Thank you everyone for sharing your system for sorting and storing you paper. I've decided to sort cardstock by color and pattern paper by manufacter for now. I did start to sort my stamps as well...I took Li's idea and store in binders and page protectors. My scraproom is a mess at the moment with huge piles of paper waiting to be sorted but I did go thru everything and even broke up old kits and all. Like anita I have LOTS of pattern paper that I don't think I'll even use or want to and don't know what to do with??? Well Selena wasn't around to help pull the name so I took it upon myself ...so here you go.....

Today while working on my 52 Pick Up book and searching for some floral paper for one of the techniques....I was amazed of how much and what kind of pattern paper I have. I was finding stuff had NO idea I had and was cute....somethings wrong...I need to organize my paper better. I know I ask Li this before(forgot what you said exactly) but my question is How do you organize your paper-by color, by kits, by manufacter...WHAT?

Here's what I do.....I have SEVERAL cropper hoppers....one for cardstock(sorted by color), I have a cropper hopper for SG's kits, BG's kits, SL kits, SR kits, get it try to keep the kits together...then there's cropper hoppers for like elsie, bazzill collections. I'm wondering if I should just sort the pattern paper by color...break up most of my kits...except for BG's I dunno know why I tend to just keep all that together...no matter what month it's from. Anyway it's just not working for me.

Share what you do- when you start to scrap do you go searching thru all you piles of pattern paper, or go straight for a specific paper or kit.....how do you organize your paper?

End of next week I'll let Selena pull a name out of something of all who commented sharing your tips and I'll send you an RAK!!!

Nothing exciting to share other than couple of layouts. First one is done with May's ScarletLime kit....most of it, rubons from my stash and different color letters was from a previous ScarletLime kit.
This is from June's BadGirls kit. Tinkering ink paper!!! I cut mine up as you can see.

I did do another layout using this months BadGirls kit for their Apron Challenge...had to use paint. You'll have to go to their gallery to check it out... that's all folks!!! Exciting I know!!!! LMAO!!!

I've received all my June kits ScarletLime and add on, Bad Girls and add on and my scraproom. So I'm swamp with lots of goodies to play with!!! I finished a layout using last months ScarletLime kit and now I've started playing with the BadGirls kit for June's Apron Challenge over there. Thursday the 52 Pick up class at big picture scrapbooking starts and I still need to get my book done for that and gather all the supplies together...I have it all spread out over my scraproom. Other than that nothing much else to share....weather has been alittle crazy...some days hot and some days stormy and we even had hail yesterday!!!! Just trying to keep sane and the girls busy...taking them outside to play in their backyard or swim in their baby pool. That's about it, taking tons of pics at the same time and hopefully will get around to posting some more soon. LATER!

Okay so I decided a few days ago that I was gonna play photographer and the girls would have a tea party in the backyard. I bought the summer outfits just for this, had hubby drag out the table and tea cups etc and the wicker chair. Plan it later in the evening when the sun isn't so bright but by the time we set up the sun wasn't out as much. My plan was to get some decent cute updated pics of the girls to pay and have printed out to hang up on my walls and pass out to relatives! At this point I'm kinda of picky and I don't want to have to pay someone else to get great shots of my kids so I figured if I could do it and as long as I'm happy with it that's all that matters right??? Well I'm feeling so- so about these pics- I see errors etc but maybe I'm just too picky I dunno know. All these pics have been crop and photoshop. I used pioneer womens actions on em...mostly her bright and cheerful one something like that...and then her vintage one on the girls one together. That's another thing...the lens I was using(anita the one I bought off of you)...I had problems focusing with it when it came to taking the shot with the two girls...they came out mostly blurry. I wasn't sure where to focus with the two sitting across from each other between the table...I'll have to email you and send an example and see what you think. That's all for now ladies....hope you like and TFL!!!!

First I want to THANK liz for that package-I received it yesterday!!!! Liz sent me last months SBTO preserves kit!!! It is YUMMY!!!! THANK YOU GIRL! YOU RAWK!

So here's what I've been up to in my FREE time. First layout is mostly May's ScarletLime kit, the butterfly is from taggered tags on etsy.
I love this line- PAPER CRUSH! I've bought mine at Target but Archivers carry it too. Target has the large paper collection with tags, letters, cardstock, pp and they have like three different lines, genders and there is a music type line that's pretty cool and they have some great mini album kits etc...along with lots of extras you could buy to go with your collection. The paper collection is only like 12.00!!! So far I've played with the boy line. Only thing paper crush here is the pp, title rare lettrs, chillin out, skull, stars, dice, crazy cool saying, wings....everything else is from my stash.

Layout of my mom when she was alittle girl. Don't have many pics of her growing up.

Used previousBad Girls kits for this layout as far as the paper and pattern papers, I printed this pic out three times and then layered on top of each other...a neat effect I think. I used some grundge board finally for the swirl, used crackle paint on the clock face, used alot of little stuff here and there from my own stash.

NOW for my Bad Girl workshop projects......this is for the pandora's box of delights using a cigar box. This cigar box is actually the box DH bought when Selena was born to pass out cigars,...been holding onto to it wanting to do something to it and now I finally have. So it's her box and I'll keep it safe pack away til she's alittle older and then she could use it for something.... SHE LOVES it....she's amazed that the pic is actually her when she was born!

Here's is my mini album made out of toliet paper rolls!!! It's STILL not finished. I've done the cover and place pics inside but that's it. I've lost my mojo and don't know what I want to do next for this album. Anyway the pics inside are of the girls playing in the backyard-cute shots! So until it's done you don't get to see the inside.

That's all for now!!! I woke up this morning with a cold and feel like shit! Looks like it's gonna storm over here, my three year old wants to go outside, I have a sink full of dishes and clothes in the washer!!! AAWWW dosmestic life is grand!!!! TFL!!!

Hey ladies been busy...with the weather being decent and taking the girls outside to play....along with all my other household duties...just haven't been able to post yet and been trying not to be on the computer all of my free time...sneaking scrapping time here and there where I can at least every day!

Hopefully by Tuesday I will have the new layouts and my BAD GIRL WORKSHOP projects ...well two of them....up to share!

Speaking of the BAD GIRL WORKSHOP......I highly recommend you check it out! You don't have to be receiving their kits to get on their forum....and it's free...and I believe the projects will be up until the end of june...so check em out, I'm sure you'll find something you'll love. Them girls can scrap and do some altering like I don't know WTF!!!! LOVE it there!!!

I think I better post some layouts before Li borrows Liz's gun and pays me a visit!!! LMAO!!!

First layout is done with Aprils Bad Girls kit....this layout was for that months Apron challenge- had to use that months kit and use numbers somehow. I didn't win but it was fun!!!

This layout is from this months Bad Girls kit-only layout I've done so far with this months kit. Bad Girls is having a workshop at the end of the month using this kit so I may just hold on to what I still have and see what goodies they come up with. Next two layouts are from May's ScarletLime kits-have one more layout in the works and some ideas for more but we'll see what happens. I hate the way I look in these pics with Sophia but she's so cute smiling and it really was her first real smiles so I had to scrap em.

This is what I used for the background for this sweetness layout of Tommy when he was a baby. I think it's acrylic type but it's thin and sturdy and has protective blue coating type on both sides of it that you just peel right off(see pic below). I had a total of three and I thought for sure I got them from a SG's kit but I went looking back at all their older kits and couldn't find em. Anybody have any idea what or who there from? Maybe I got em from Sg's shopping area...I dunno no...but would love some more!

I frequent this blog at least once a week, INSPIRATIONAL and of course I left a comment giving the okay that if they ever saw something on my blog and like, they could feature it-well today I got a comment saying I was being feature!!! How cool!!! Funny thing is I didn't really like that layout after doing it, I do that alot! I find the ones I don't care for, sometimes gets the biggest response and the ones I think are the bomb don't get a response, go figure!!! Anyway check out their blog if you haven't already, sometimes they have some really AMAZING work there.

By the way I'll have new layouts posted by the end of the weekend. I've been making it a point to get some scrapping done every day no matter what....I don't care if it's just an hour. I need it...with the house and kids and everything else...sometimes I feel like I'm just gonna lose it!!! LOL!!!

I know I'm gonna have a few creepy crawlies snooping around here just dying to know how my weekend went with Liz and Li and for that reason this is the only picture I'm gonna post from my visit. Want to give credit to Liz for the picture....she took it and it's one of my favorites of the Arch. Great shot Liz!!!

All I will say is I had a blast....Liz was an awesome host/tour guide, Li is hilarious with some of her stories, sweet gals!!!!......got a mild case of food posioning(I think) and got to meet Heather(scrapdoc) and hang out with her(sweet gal) and we could of got lock up...still LMAO off about that one...and to quote Forrest Gump......."that's all I'm gonna say about that!"

FOR now at least. First layout is from March's ScarletLime kit...all of it except for the black rubon letters and prima flowers. I'm not sure how I feel about this layout but here it is.
Again some of it is from March's ScarletLime kit except for Heidi Swapp daisys, luxe jotter, paper crush rubons and butterfly. I think I cover it all. Used some pop dots on the clear daisys.

This layout is from Aprils Bad Girls kit....ALL OF IT..except for my photos LOL. The bird and flowers in the left corner is a Jenni Bowlin paper that I colored in with LePlume markers and watercolor pencils....and used lots of pop dots....not sure you can tell. This is my sweet baby girl Sophia Lynn and she is turning ONE on Saturday!!!!! TFL!!!

Here's my last layout for Li....Li hope you love the color combos here as much as I do!(wink) This picture is just so glamourous, try to do an elegant design to go with it.
I can't remember what the flower paper is called but you used the same one on your layout of me, I used Lace cardstock, making memories journaling, heidi swapp clock stamp, tim holtz distress inks around the edges, prima flowers and bling....heart bling and title can't recall from where. The red/white heart is chipboard covered in American Crafts ribbon. Hope you like!!!

Since it's cold and rainy outside and I'm still getting over my cold and still got this rash...figure I print some "HAPPY" pics. First we have a guest in our front yard, she decided to build her nest right next to my mailbox and at a height that probably comes to my chest. Not a good idea. Hoping she'll give up the idea once she sees and hears all the kids out front running back and forth and making noise. Just don't want her to attack! But got this great pic anyhow with my zoom lens I bought off Anita.
These next two pics are taken with my new camara given to me by my inlaws for my birthday. I'm only saying this so if my inlaws are reading my blog they'll see and know what the camara can do. It's a cute tiny nixon coolpix(the smaller one) camara and love it to take to the park, etc so I don't have to always drag my rebel and it fits easily in my pocket. The flash on this camara is HORRIBLE so if anyone is considering getting this camara for all your picture taking needs forget it! I know no one wants to use flash but sometimes you need one. Just my two cents.

FEELING LIKE CRAP!!!
Well I have a cold and I have some kind of rash or insect bite going on...it itches like crazy on my right arm and chest, little red bumps all over. I was pulling weeds out of the flower beds this weekend and yes I was wearing long sleeves and gloves but something got me. Just what I needed. SO I'm not a happy person right now, kids are driving me alittle batty and Selena is screaming to go out and play and all I want to do is sit on the couch or scrapbook. I'm working on a layout now from my scarletlime kit...that I FINALLY dive into it. Anyway thought I share some pics.

Here's how I found my baby the other day....she was fussing and when I went to look I found her stuck between the couches and ottoman....had to grab the camara!!! Hey I got pics of Selena stuck in my endtable so have to get some stuck shots of Sophia!!!

Her sister took pity on her or got tired of her fussing and gave her the tutu to try and make her happy, or make herself happy. I just kept taking pics!!!
Finally she gave me that LOOK "You wanna get me out of here or what?!" She also kinda of got that look saying "OH NO SHE DIDN'T!!!!" OF COURSE I DID!!!!

Finally I put the camara down and gave in and got her out. Here's one of Selena's pouty pics. How can I resist this face HUH? She's so dramatic she should be a actress!!!

It's a shame that it takes me as long as it does to complete a layout. With the kids and the house and everything else. Just once I like to start a layout and finish it at the same time...not five days later. Anyway Li here's Emeralds layout. Please excuse the shitty scan. Notice that patch of white on the layout....that is something with the scan. I used Basic Grey line...can't remember is it the infuse line...and some noteworthy paper. Some other goodies from my stash. I didn't notice until today that the last digital layout you posted on your blog of you and Liz's dogs also has a Puppy Love title...had I known I may of change mine so you don't have two layouts with the same title...oh well...hope you love this layout as well!!!
On another note, Li got me into the digital scrapbooking and last night I downloaded a bunch of stuff and today started to play with some. I know I've dabble before in digital scrapbooking when I had PSE4 this time I have PSE6 and CS2. I was playing in PSE with it and found it kinda of frustrating...so will take some time to refresh how to create a digital layout. Can't wait to share all the cute digital downloads stuff!!! TFL!!!

These pics are when we brought Sophia home and Selena saw her for the first time...my dad actually got these pics with his cell phone. I was so ill and out of it that I did not care about taking pictures...glad my dad capture it even if they are cell phone pics.

My baby girl Sophia is turning 1 next month...time flies...so had a photo shoot with her for her invitation pic....as you can see she's having a princess theme...this is one of the pics from that shoot. SHE JUST TOO CUTE!!!!
I've also finally received my FIRST scarletlime kit....OMG....it's yummy...these pictures don't do it justice but I LOVE IT. Check out their site!!!! Here's their March kit!!!!

Li and I are doing our own trading pages swap....I have four layouts to do for her and she's doing five for me(I have the extra kid). So we sent each other pics of our loved ones and the only thing we required of each other was leave room or something for journeling. SO here's my first two of her layouts...have two more to go!!! My scanner is off on the color..trust me looks alot better in person.

I used some of my backporch memories kit...the paper line is sassafras "starry night", I used ki lace cardstock, American Crafts thickers and the rest can't recall or know the name off hand.

For this layout I used one of my Scraproom kits...well some of it the. This is A2Z little rascal collection. Some American Crafts thickers and the rest can't recall. Hope you love em LI!!!!! Can't wait to start on the other two layouts!!!

Here are some older layouts I never posted...did these about 2 weeks ago...I didn't know I had so many christmas photos and for awhile there I was obsess in scrapping them and getting them done. There's still a few but at this point and with spring here I'm SOOO tired of xmas layouts so I think I'll just pass on them for now. I still have some fall layouts I wanted to get done and never did! OH WELL!

Used a backporch memories kit for this layout. I've cancel my membership with them but it was nice while it lasted. The rest of the layouts I used Elsie's Noel line. LOVE her stuff and just tried to have fun with it....of course alittle bit of other lines mix in there.

Li inspired me to change my blog's layout. Not sure if I like it or not yet. Finally up and running but do have a few programs to get back that I lost- most important ones-my photoshop and CS2!!! I've ordered a new laptop and should be here soon! Really excited about having a laptop to myself, not have to share or worry about what my teenager is downloading onto my computer anymore. Other than that not much else. Have had no real mojo to scap, have organized some pictures and OH yes my crazy ass thought it be cool to sort my prima flowers by color. STILL not done and REGRETTING that idea big time!!! As you can see I lost alot of my links so still have those to add!! Most exciting thing going around here is my baby Sophia is starting to walk...she's taking 4/5 steps at a time here and there but still haven't manage to catch it on film!!!!

Been busy(when I had the time) scrapbooking. I've uploaded a few in my scrapbooking gallery. I have more pages in progress. Still have some xmas and even working on some valentines layouts at the moment. Hope everyone had a SWEET Valentine's Day!!! Selena with her rice crispy treat she made with daddy a couple of days ago. She'll bake etc but she won't eat any of it.

Valentine's day-the girls with some of their treats. Sofia wasn't being very sweet this day. She has a top tooth coming in and she's just not happy.

Photography Class Homework

So on Sunday had my second photography class at my local scrapbook store. You can see the instructors work on Photo A Day link. There will be one more session in the spring sometime working one on one with her at a park taking pictures of our own kids. HA SHOULD BE FUN! Hard enough getting decent shots when they were lock up in the house now to be let loose in the open. Should be exciting!

Our homework was shooting different shots, five angle shots, three photos tell about myself, three different emotion shots, capture a relationship shot, three photos that express childhood, and a creative self portrait. I'm somewhat please how they came out. I'm trying to get out of auto mode so I'm practicing in AV mode in my house with whatever natural light I can get. Not too bad! Of course I took tons of shots but these are the ones I choose for the class. Later and as I go along I'll share more photos. Another thing I DID NOT photoshop any of these...that's another thing I want to study up on and experiment.

Finally getting out of auto mode and been working on AV mode for now. Still trying to figure out how to work the pics on here...why some are big and some smaller. It's frustrating. This is my post for the weekend...may add links etc but will post then. Have a photography class on Sunday at my local scrapbook store and still have photos to print for it.

One of my sweet(most of the time)little girls turn three Jan. 28th.
We had her birthday party the day before at Chuck E. Cheese's.

She just HAD to have a spongebob cake. She LOVES spongebob! Of course mommy and daddy had to get her a camara of her own. Thou the place was a madhouse that day...we all manage to have fun!!!

I decided to jump on the whole blog scene. I'm not one for words but hoping to share my pictures and scrapbooking layouts and maybe have some interesting new techniques...that is if I get the time to play. I'll be busy working and getting this blog going in my spare time.
